| Detail: | Mr L K M Adhi was born on 1st June 1952 at Erode.. His primary education was in Erode and higher secondary schooling in Chennai. He did his PUC in St Joseph's College, Trichy and joined Engineering in PSG College of Technology in Electronics and Communication. He is a fellow of the Institution of Engineers.
He is a first generation Entrepreneur establishing an Industrial unit for the manufacturing of Hosiery Needles in Hosur after getting trained in a Japanese Company. He is one of the earliest Entrepreneurs who established a unit at Hosur in the year 1978 . He later established a second company M/s Elkayem Auto Ancillaries pvt Ltd for manufacturing and supply of Sheet metal fabricated components to M/s TVS Motor Co . He manages three production plants in Hosur and one in Mysore employing approx 900 people and an equal number of employment indirectly through its Vendors.
His contribution to Hosur has been very high and has been instrumental in encouraging a number of small units to be set up in Hosur. He was actively involved in many of the developments in Hosur. He was an office bearer of the Hosur Industries Association for thirty years and a Past President of the Association, and sits on several committees of various Industrial Associations. He takes very active interest in the affairs of Industries at Hosur. and was the President of The Hosur Industries Association for six years. He is blessed with two sons and both are Engineers and working with him in the business.
